To celebrate our 3rd Wedding Anniversary, we booked a one-night stay at Capella Singapore with our furry lil one in tow! Not many 5-star hotels in Singapore are pet-friendly so this was a real treat for us.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff in the lobby & shown to the check-in counter. We were served a cool beverage, biscotti & cold towel each. The whole check-in process was very prompt & pleasant.
We were given a pair of complimentary Sentosa island admission tickets which were valid for 3 consecutive days from the date of activation. If you were to lose this ticket, it would cost S$4 each time you enter Sentosa. Keep it somewhere safe!
Capella Singapore also provides complimentary shuttle service to & from Resorts World Sentosa as well as Vivocity.
We were whisked away to our Constellation room which was on the 5th floor of the main building. As soon as we entered the room, we were blown away by the awesome view! We were amazed by how big the entire room was (77 sqm to be exact). The best feature of the room was the spacious private balcony complete with a heated jacuzzi, sunbed, and stunning view.
We were able to enjoy the magnificent view of the sea & lush greenery from the private balcony, bedroom and bathroom.
The bedroom was very roomy and had lots of natural light coming in. The day bed which was up against the window, made a nice spot to sip on a cocktail and take in the view. The King-size bed had the softest linens which i couldn't wait to climb into. Hachi was only too happy to climb onto the bed before Nick and i even had the chance to.
The bathroom was equally well-lit by the natural sunlight. The bathtub was also up against the window which meant That i would be able to enjoy the view while having a nice hot soak. I loved the his-and-hers bathroom sinks because of all the ample space!
The toiletries provided were more than sufficient. the shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser, body balm and soap bar were from Aesop. The Aesop products' scents were particularly soothing.
Nick was pretty impressed by the touch panel in the bedside table which allowed us to control the lights, air conditioning, and curtains without having to climb out of bed.
We were a little underwhelmed by the pet amenties provided which included a rather flat dog bed, a bowl, and a couple of plastic bags. Oh well. Hachi did not protest the idea of having to sleep in the luxurious linens of our king-size bed.
It was just as well that I brought along Hachi's plate, water bowl, wet tissues, and toy.
As we were about to head out to explore the hotel grounds, a bowl of mixed fresh fruits was delivered to our room by housekeeping. I ate the orange and pear which were pretty sweet.
Family selfie! Hachi couldn't wait to explore the rest of the place thus the bored facial expression.
Did I mention that I had my nails done specially for the stacaytion? :D
To get to Palawan beach, we had to walk past the swimming pool and down multiple flights of stairs! It was no easy feat because we had Hachi in her pram.
We made it to Palawan Beach but we did not find any nice dog-friendly beach bars to have a drink at. Siloso beach would have had more dog-friendly options but it was quite a distance away from the Capella Singapore gate.
Back at the room, I climbed into the jacuzzi with Hachi. It was pretty damn relaxing. Hachi fell asleep at one point.
I ran a warm bubble bath for myself but Hachi and Nick found their way in before i could get in.
All the restaurants and bars in Capella Singapore were off limits to dogs so we decided to order food using Deliveroo. The concierge advised that we order from a restaurant located in Sentosa because the restaurants outside Sentosa would most likely reject our order. Following her advice, we ordered dinner from Miska Cafe which is located at Quayside Isle in Sentosa.
At around 7.30pm, housekeeping came by with a packet of chocolate cookies for the turndown service. However, 3 of us were already in our jammies under the covers so we told her that she could just leave the cookies for us.
Nick pulled out a bottle of Bottega Manzoni Moscato rose and said that we should have a toast. I took a couple of swigs and K.O.ed.
9 September, Sunday
Not wanting to waste a single minute before checking out at 12pm, we woke up early to walk hachi. It was such a pleasant feeling to wake up to such a view.
We were not allowed to bring Hachi to have breakfast by the pool even though it was outdoors but we managed to get a photo with the inflatable swan by the pool.
While Nick called for room service, Hachi and i enjoyed the jacuzzi one last time before checking out.
By the time we were done splashing around, there was a knock on the door. Our breakfast was here! The butler rolled the trolley into our bedroom and started setting up. It felt especially fancy with the white table cloth and flower centerpiece. Breakfast was delicious but the portions were a tad small for Nick and I. Come to think of it, the pancakes were the same size as Hachi's dainty lil face.
After breakfast, there was time for one last soak in the tub.
