My brother & I were at Suntec City when we came across the Gudetama Cafe Singapore! I've grown quite fond of Gudetama because of his adorable nua-ness & I think actually prefer him to Hello Kitty now. The cafe officially opened in January 2017 so I think the novelty has sort of worn off for most which worked out well for us because we were there at around 12pm and there was no queue at all. I think only a handful of tables were occupied.
As we were shown to our booth seats, I was admiring the really adorable decor! I think it was particularly well done. I especially loved the table that resembled an egg crate of Gudetamas looking up through the glass table top!
Once seated, we studied the menu on the iPad. The cafe worked with local bento artist LittleMissBento on the food styling and co-created the menu with the team. We had a tough time deciding on what to eat because everything sounded delicious and the food styling was super cute! The little Gudetamas in all the dishes were calling out to me.
I finally decided on the Eggcited Cajan Chicken with Waffles which was a crispy buttermilk waffle topped with A tender piece of grilled Cajan chicken & sunny side egg. And on the side was whipped cream and maple syrup. My brother ordered the "Are you busy?" Burger which was made up of Double prime beef patties, melted cheese, bacon and sunny side egg between toasted brioche buns. To top it all off, we shared a Choconana drink which was a chocolate and banana ice-blended drink.
When the food arrived, we could hardly wait to dig in! My brother graciously gave me a couple of minutes to photograph our dishes before tucking in.
I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and waffle but decided to skip the maple syrup & cream. The waffle was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside while the chicken was tasty and tender. My brother also seemed to enjoy his burger.
TO end our sumptuous meal, we ordered the Ta-Ma-Go dessert which was a cheesecake encrusted in rice crispies served in the form of nigiri sushi with Matcha "Wasabi". It came with a serving of maple syrup on the side which complimented it quite well.
To commemorate my visit, I checked out the gift corner and settled on a Gudetama wet tissue dispenser & refills. The Gudetama Singapore Cafe stuffed toy was pretty tempting but it costs close to SGD$60. I'm happy with my dispenser & refills :D

I don't think reservations are necessary on weekdays even at lunch time. You might want to consider bulk-buying the Gudetama cafe gift vouchers with your friends to get a 50% discount though.
